Lady Lions Sweep Southwestern Christian

LANGSTON – The Langston Lady Lions swept the Southwestern Christian Lady Eagles 3-0 (25-, 25-, 25-) to move to 8-15 overall and 3-12 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The Lady Lions opened the first set hitting 39 percent that featured 11 kills to two errors in the 25-15 set victory. In the following set the Lady Eagles battled but ultimately fell 25-22; Langston closed out the game with a final set victory of 25-17.

Antonese Tatum led the way with 17 kills and added 11 digs. Kiyah Hedge added 10 kills, Finehika Uhatafe tallied a team-high 20 assists, Allanah Drayton-Campbell added 12 assists and Samantha Clements finished with 10 digs.

Langston (8-15, 3-12 SAC) hosts Oklahoma City University on Thursday, Oct. 21. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
