
The C. Felton 'Zip Gayles Basketball Endowment is setup to provide a perpetual private source for the Langston University basketball programs. Funding for the endowment will come from personal and corporate donors (Intial funding was from participants in the first basketball reunion of Langston University organizers from the 1950s, held on October 27, 2006).
Management of the endowment is provided by the Langston University Foundation, Inc., a 501C(3) Agency; thereby, allowing all donations to be tax deductible.
Only the yields, from the conservatively invested principal will be used to support the basketball program. Annual reports regarding donations, investment income and expenditures shall be provided.
Support will be used for the following: purchase of class and/or laboratory books, special assistance to players who earn at least a 2.5 GPA during any semester, scholarship assistance and team travel support related to competitive events.
