Football Rolls Past Texas College 55-24

TYLER, Texas – The Langston Lions turned in another fine performance on the ground as the Lions cruised by Texas College 55-24 in Sooner Athletic Conference action.

Markell Scott picked up right where he left off last week, posting 162 rushing yards with one touchdown on 16 carries. In total the Lions tallied three touchdowns via the ground game including touchdown runs from Kabryn Williams and Tahj Davidson.

Larry Harrington finished the day five-of-10 for 64 yards with one touchdown. RaQuon Washington finished six-of-nine for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Kevin Allen led the aerial attack with 83 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.

Collectively, the Lions forced six turnovers on defense including four interceptions. Langston is currently tied atop the SAC standings with Ottawa-Arizona and Texas Wesleyan at 2-0 in conference play.

Langston (2-0, 2-0 SAC) hosts Wayland Baptist next Saturday at W.E. Anderson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
