Lady Lions Fall at Mid-America Christian

OKLAHOMA CITY – In their first matchup of the season the Langston Lady Lions fell short 3-0 to the Mid-America Christian Evangels on Friday evening at the Gaulke Activity Center.

The Lady Lions managed to lead 20-16 down the stretch but the Evangels turned the tide with eight straight points to move in front 24-20. Langston trimmed the lead to 24-22 but MACU managed to close out the set 25-22.

The Evangels would go on to seal sets two and three by final counts of 25-16 and 25-21.

Denae Williams led Langston in kills with 11, Finehika Uhatafe tallied 26 assists and Samantha Clements posted a team-high 11 digs.

Langston (8-10, 1-8 SAC) travels to Chickasha, Okla. On Saturday, Oct. 1 to face USAO at 1 p.m.
