OKLAHOMA CITY - The Ford Dealers Sooner Athletic Conference women's and men's track and field runners and field athletes of the week were announced with Langston's Malik Williams and Chasity Veals being named the runner of the week and field athlete of the week respectively.

Men's runner of the week:Â Malik Williams | So. Â
Malik Williams got his outdoor season under way in winning fashion with a first-place showing in the 100 meters in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on Saturday in Shawnee, Okla. Williams hit the A qualifying mark for the NAIA Championships on May 24-26 in Marion, Ind., with a time of 10.46 seconds.Â

Women's field athlete of the week:Â Chasity Veals | Jr. | Richardson, TexasÂ
Chasity Veals collected first place in the triple jump in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational with a mark of 37 feet, 10 inches (11.53 meters), which made the B standard qualifying list for the national meet.Â
