Men's Track and Field Completes SAC Championships

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Langston University Lions track and field team took part in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships and finished with three first-place finishes and a total of 14 top-ten finishes.

Malik Williams finished first in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash with final times of 10.78 and 21.47. Dion Collier placed second in the 100-meters at 10.81 and fourth in the 200-meters at 22.23.

Williams, Collier along with Gabriel Ogundeinde and Riley Graham-Pannell finished first in the 4X100 relay with a final time of 41.74.

Gabriel Rhone-Dunn, Jasjy'n Newhouse and Isaiah Leonard took home sixth, ninth and tenth in the 400-meters with times of 49.94, 51.17 and 51.25.

Rhone-Dunn, Ogundeinde, Newhouse and Leonard also took part in the 4X400 relay, placing fourth overall with a final time of 3:24.13.

Kendall Caffey finished second in the triple jump with mark of 13.64m. Caffey and Graham-Pannell took part in the javelin and placed 10th and 12th with marks of 31.93m and 24.48m.

Additionally, Collier, Caffey and Ogundeinde placed fifth, sixth and eighth in the long jump with high marks of 6.15m, 6.13m and 6.12m respectively.
