Cheer Places Third at Coyote Classic

SALINA – The Langston University Cheer squad took part in the Coyote Classic hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University over the weekend and took home third place.

A total of seven teams competed in the competition which included Oklahoma City University, McPherson College, Friends University, Kansas Wesleyan, Sterling College and Concordia College.

OCU was the winner of the Coyote Classic with a score of 91.15. McPherson was second with a score of 77.5, Langston was third with a score of 75.25, Friends was fourth with a score of 71.8, KWU was fifth with a score of 71.6, Sterling was sixth with a score of 68.6 and Concordia (Neb.) was seventh with a score of 60.16.
