Deonne King enters her first season as the head coach of the Langston University cheerleading program. Currently, King is the co-founder of Oklahoma Spirit Academy LLC, a cheerleading training facility in Midwest City, Okla. She is five-time NCA National Champion, 2007 All-American cheerleader for the University of Oklahoma and worked for the National Cheerleading Association as an instructor for many years.

Her coaching accomplishments include leading her all-star teams to winning national championship titles, outstanding choreography, and best stunt choreography as well as assisting several Oklahoma middle schools and high schools build their cheerleading programs from the ground up, in addition to building her own gym.
