Kyle Taylor joined the Langston University Department of Athletics as the Director of Sports Information in January 2016.

As the Director of Sports Information, Taylor oversees content produced for the Langston athletic website, LangstonSports.com, social media channels and assists in the publicity efforts, game day and media operations for LU’s eight sports.

Taylor came to LU after serving as the Director of Sports Information at Bacone College for five years. During his time at Bacone College, he oversaw the SID department which included the athletic website, statistics, P.A. announcements and publications for all 15 sports and one club team.

He was also instrumental in implementing social media channels for the athletic department as well as establishing live video broadcasts for Bacone’s home contests.

Taylor is a graduate of Bacone College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management and an associate of arts in journalism. During his time as an undergrad he interned with the Muskogee Daily Phoenix Newspaper where he served as a sports correspondent. He also earned a master’s degree in sports administration from East Central University in 2013. Taylor holds professional memberships in College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) and the Black College Sports Information Directors (BCSIDA).
