Langston Knocks Off Lady Warriors 84-52

LANGSTON – Five players scored in double figures as the Langston Lady Lions knocked off the Bacone College Lady Warriors 84-52 in their home opener on Thursday night at the C.F. Gayles Field House.

The Lady Lions built a 42-28 halftime advantage and put the clamps on the Bacone offense in the third quarter, holding the Lady Warriors to two points to lead 70-29 entering the fourth quarter. The matchup was the 20th matchup historically between Bacone College and Langston University with the Lady Lions holding a 19-1 series advantage.

Asheika Alexander, Delecia Brown and Grace Williams led Langston in scoring with 15 points apiece. Jadyn Chestnutt finished with 11 and Jada Spence added 10 points.

Langston (2-0) travels to face Louisiana State University on Saturday, Oct. 30 in an exhibition matchup. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
