Lady Lions Knock Off OPSU 77-65

GOODWELL – Four players scored in double figures as the Langston University Lady Lions snapped a three-game skid, defeating Oklahoma Panhandle State 77-65 on Thursday night.

A pivotal second quarter featured the Lady Lions outscoring the Aggies 22-12, allowing them to take a 35-22 advantage into halftime. Langston widened their advantage to as much as 15 points in the third quarter and went on to defeat the Aggies 77-65.

Taliyah Harris led Langston with 16 points, Jadyn Chestnutt added 13, Alanna Spencer chipped in 11 and Grace Williams finished with 10 points. Collectively, the Lady Lions hit 45 percent (26-of-57) overall and finished 18-of-26 from the free throw line.

Langston (15-6, 10-5 SAC) travels to face Wayland Baptist on Saturday, Jan. 29. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
