Lady Lions Knock Off Eagles 80-49

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hailey Jordan posted 29 points and 14 rebounds as the Langston Lady Lions rolled by the Avila University Eagles 80-49 on Monday night at the Mabee Fieldhouse.

After leading 38-29 at halftime, Langston kicked it into high gear in the third quarter by outscoring the Eagles 23-8. In the third quarter, the Lady Lions finished five-of-14 from the field but connected on 11-of-17 free throw attempts. Defensively, Langston held the Eagles to two-of-12 shooting while building a 61-37 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Jordan finished 10-of-17 from the field and nine-of-10 from the free throw line. Taliyah Harris rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 on the night as the Lady Lions improved to 3-1 overall.

Langston (3-1) heads to Dallas, Texas to take part in the Dallas HBCU Invitational starting on Friday, Nov. 11. The Lady Lions face Paul Quinn on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Harris-Stowe State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
