Lady Lions Fall to Golden Eagles

LANGSTON – Three players scored in double figures, but the Langston University Lady Lions fell short 74-67 to John Brown University on Saturday at C.F. Gayles Field House.

The turning point came late in fourth quarter with both squads tied at 62-62. The Golden Eagles went on an 8-2 scoring run to move in front 70-64 at the 1:04 mark. The Lady Lions trimmed the lead to five with 45 seconds remaining but were unable to bridge the gap.

Hailey Jordan led Langston in scoring with 17 points, Anyia Pride finished with 12 and Ayasha Thomas added 10 on the afternoon.

Langston (12-10, 7-9 SAC) travels to Oklahoma Panhandle State in Goodwell, Okla. on Thursday, February 2nd. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
