No. 4 Langston Knocks Off Warriors 76-59

LANGSTON – Three players scored in double figures as the No. 4 Langston Lions defeated the Midland University Warriors 76-59 on Saturday afternoon at C.F. Gayles Field House.

Langston led 34-25 at halftime but pushed their advantage to as much as 24 points in the second half. The Warriors never got closer than seven points at the 16:56 mark in the second half as the Lions improved to 2-0 on the season.

Anthony Roy led Langston in scoring with 17 points, G'Quavious Lennox added 14 and Ronald Mitchell Jr finished with 11 on the day. For the game the Lions knocked down 45 percent (28-of-62) from the field and hit 11-of-27 from three-point range.

Langston (2-0) returns to the court at home on Wednesday, November 22 versus Wiley College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
