Lady Lions Knock Off Bluefield University 92-62

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Langston University Lady Lions raced past the Bluefield University Rams 92-62 to close out their trip to the NAIA The Show classic on Saturday, Nov. 25.

Leading 24-21 at the conclusion on the first quarter, Langston outscored the Rams 19-11 and 27-17 in the second and third quarters to lead 70-49. The Lady Lions improved to 5-1 overall with the 92-62 victory.

Kamesha Moore and Jordynn Conner both led Langston in scoring with 16 points apiece. Kameron Shelley chipped in 14 and Hailey Jordan finished with 12. Brittany Rivera and Makayla Transou also tallied double digits in scoring with 10 points apiece.

Collectively, the Lady Lions knocked down 42 percent (37-of-87) from the field and finished 15-of-21 from the free throw line.

Langston (5-1) opens Sooner Athletic Conference play on Thursday, Nov. 30. The Lady Lions host Oklahoma City University at home with a tip-off time set for 6 p.m.
