No. 3 Lions Upend JBU Eagles on Road

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Anthony Roy posted a season high 30 points as the No. 3 Langston University Lions defeated John Brown University 75-61 on Saturday afternoon at Bill George Arena.

The Lions came out strong in the first half, shooting 52 percent (14-of-27) from the field while building a 37-25 lead at halftime. Langston led by as much as 19 points in the second following a three-pointer by Ronald Mitchell to increase Langston's lead at 66-47 with 4:54 remaining.

Roy finished with 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting including going five-of-eight from three-point range. Mitchell finished second on the team with 16 points in 33 minutes of action.

Langston (7-0, 2-0) heads to Monticello, Ark. To face the University of Arkansas at Monticello in an exhibition matchup. The Lions return to SAC play on Saturday, Dec. 9 at home versus the Southwestern Assemblies of God Lions.
