Langston Rolls Stallions 48-2 on Homecoming

LANGSTON – Torrence Bardell tossed five touchdown passes, leading the Langston Lions past North American University to close out Homecoming 2024 on Saturday evening.

Langston wasted little time getting on the scoreboard when Bardell hit Levon Williams for a 29-yard touchdown strike at the 8:42 mark in the first quarter. On the ensuing PAT attempt, the Stallions blocked the attempt by Octavio Resdeniz and NAU's Keyshawn Langham returned the block 97 yards for a two-point conversion.

The Lions went right back to work with Bardell tossing a 19-yard touchdown to Victor Boggs and a 12-yard touchdown to Kevin Allen to lead 20-2. Langston kept their foot on the gas in the second quarter when Bardell hit Ivory Wilright for a pair of touchdowns to put the Lions ahead 34-2 at the 9:11 mark before halftime.

Bardell capped the second quarter scoring barrage by scoring on a two-yard quarterback sneak to put the Lions in front 41-2 at halftime.

The final score came in the fourth quarter when Omari Milton scored on a 10-yard run with 2:27 remaining.

Bardell finished 18-of-28 for 316 yards with five touchdowns on the day. Wilright tallied 128 yards on six receptions with two touchdowns and Allen racked up 111 yards on six catches with one touchdown.

Defensively, the Lions stood tall, allowing only 126 total yards on offense. James Grace led the defense with five total tackles, four solo with one sack.
