LANGSTON - Diamond Richardson scored a season-high 30 points, leading the Langston Lady Lions past No. 24 Mid-America Christian 82-76 on Tuesday evening at C.F. Gayles Field House.Â

The Evangels worked their way back within four with 40 seconds remaining but free throws by Richardson sealed the 82-76 victory for Langston as they improved to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the SAC.Â
"We're extremely happy to come out with a win against a great Top-25 team, well coached and probably one of the deepest teams we've played all season," head coach Chris Vincent said. "It's been a really long stretch in these past two weeks, just the amount of games we've played, the competitive teams we've played, being on the road and now we have finals week. I'm just happy with how they prepared."
Richardson finished nine-of-19 from the field including a nine-of-11 mark from free throw range. Jordan Brown added 18 points and Mikayla Woods tallied 12 points and 14 rebounds on the night.Â
Langston (8-1, 4-1 SAC) hits the road to face the University of North Texas at Dallas on Thursday, December 5th.
