No. 1 Langston Rolls Paul Quinn 86-45

AUSTIN, Texas- The No. 1 Langston Lions lived up to their billing, rolling Paul Quinn 86-45 in the inaugural Battle of the Border hosted by the Austin Area Urban League on Saturday evening.
 
The Lions (3-0) roared out of the game, eventually leading Paul Quinn 44-14 at halftime; Langston went on the outscore Paul Quinn 42-31 in the second half en route to the 86-45 victory.
 
On the night, Langston hit 51 percent (30-of-59) from the field and finished 20-of-30 from the free throw line.
 
Mike Peake led the Lions in scoring with 16, Daylon Andrews added 14, Darrius Hughes chipped in 17 and Cameron McCoy rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
 
Langston (3-0) opens conference play on Thursday, Nov. 14 at Wayland Baptist. Game time is set for 8 p.m. in Plainview, Texas.
