No. 8 Langston Knocks Off JBU 69-55

LANGSTON – Three players scored in double figures as the No. 8 Langston Lions knocked off John Brown University 69-55 on Saturday evening inside the C.F. Gayles Field House.
 
Langston held a slim 35-33 margin at halftime before roaring to life in the second half, outscoring the Golden Eagles 34-22 and holding JBU to 29 percent (six-of-21) from the field. The victory pushes the Lions to 10-2 overall and 7-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
 
Bryce Monroe led Langston in scoring with 25, Amoro Lado added 14 and Jamison Epps chipped in 10 on the night. Collectively, Langston hit 40 percent (23-of-57) overall and finished 14-of-20 from the free throw line.

Langston (10-2, 7-2 SAC) takes on Oklahoma Wesleyan on Sunday, Dec. 29 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. Game time is set for 12:15 p.m. Tickets for the non-conference matchup are available at www.langstonsports.com.
