Softball Lands Three All-SAC Selections

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference announced the softball All-Conference selections with three Langston Lady Lions being selected to the list.

Meilani Butts was named to the second team All-Conference; Tandy Garrett was named honorable mention All-SAC and Jadyn Harper was selected to the All-SAC gold glove team.

In 43 games this season, Butts finished the season with eight home runs, 22 RBIs, three doubles, five triples with a .320 batting average and .623 slugging percentage.

Garrett tallied five home runs with 21 RBIs, six doubles and a .308 batting average in 40 games. Garett also tossed 70 2/3 innings pitched, picking up four wins with 25 strikeouts.

Harper finished one home run, 15 RBIs, four doubles and one triple in 40 games; she also registered 54 putouts, 33 assists with a .879 fielding percentage.
