No. 8 Langston Outpaces Drovers 75-64

CHICKASHA – Four players scored in double figures as the No. 8 Langston Lions defeated the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma 75-64 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Lions turned in a strong first half, shooting 73 percent (16-of-22) from the field to build a 38-30 halftime advantage. Langston continued their momentum in the second half, pushing their lead to as much as 15 following back-to-back free throws from Darrius Hughes to make it 59-44 at the 9:16 mark.
 
Kamron Brice led Langston in scoring with 16 along with 13 points from Mario McKinney and Joshua Smith; Hughes rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
 
Collectively, Langston hit 57 percent (28-of-49) overall and held USAO to 41 percent (21-of-51) overall and three-of-17 from three-point range.

Langston (13-2, 9-2 SAC) hosts Wayland Baptist at home on Thursday, Jan. 16. Game time is set for 7:45 p.m.
