Lady Lions Knock Off USAO 79-61

CHICKASHA – Five players scored in double figures as the Langston University Lady Lions defeated the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma 79-61 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Langston led 58-56 entering the fourth quarter when the Lady Lions slammed the door shut on the Drovers, outscoring USAO 21-5 in the final frame to seal the 79-61 victory. The victory pushed the Langston's win streak to 10 games and the Lady Lions are off to their best start since the 2014-15 season when Langston finished the season 28-4 overall.
 
Kashell Daughty led the Lady Lions in scoring with 18 points overall. Koreea Kirksey and Jordan Brown both chipped in 14 points apiece, Diamond Richardson tallied 10 points, and Mikayla Woods registered a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Langston (14-1, 10-1 SAC) returns home to host Wayland Baptist on Thursday, Jan. 16. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
