No. 19 Lady Lions Roll OCU 80-49

LANGSTON – Four players scored in double figures as the No. 19 Langston University Lady Lions knocked off Oklahoma City University 80-49 on Thursday evening.
 
The Lady Lions held a 13-6 advantage entering the second quarter and outscored the Stars 24-17 to lead 37-22 at halftime. Langston pressed their advantage in the second half, leading by as much as 34 points to seal the 80-49 victory.
 
Langston improves to 21-1 overall and 17-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Lady Lions are currently on a 17-game winning streak and are off to their best start since the 2007-08 season.
 
Diamond Richardson led Langston with 21 points, Jordan Brown added 15, Mariah Smith chipped in 11 and Koreea Kirksey finished with 10. Mikayla Woods also posted double figures in rebounds with 10.

Langston (21-1, 17-1 SAC) returns home to host UNT-Dallas on Thursday, Feb. 6 at C.F. Gayles Field House. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
