No. 11 Lady Lions Hit the Road for Back-to-Back Exhibitions

LANGSTON – The Langston University Lady Lions hit the road for back-to-back exhibitions against two AP Top 25 women's college basketball teams in fourth-ranked Louisiana State University and No. 22 Oklahoma State.

The Lady Lions square off against the No. 4 LSU Tigers tomorrow night, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in Baton Rouge, La. inside the Pete Maravich Assemble Center. The following week, Langston makes the short drive to Stillwater, Okla. to face No. 22 Oklahoma State on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Langston also enters both matchups ranked No. 11 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

Langston University head coach Chris Vincent noted the uniqueness of not only being able to play two NCAA DI teams back-to-back but be able to face two Top 25 teams.

"I think it's great for our program, players and University to be represented on the highest stage of women's college basketball. To able to go on the road for two top 25 matchups in both historic and hostile environments early in the year with a new group is an experience that you can only grow from," Vincent noted. "I look forward to the growth we can gain as we look to continue to reach our maximum potential when we get to full strength and prepare for conference play in just a few weeks. Ls Up!"
