No. 11 Langston Halts Central Christian 49-28

McPHERSON, Kan. – Areyanna Hunter tallied a season-high 26 points, leading the No. 11 Langston Lady Lions past Central Christian 49-28 on Wednesday evening.

The Lady Lions built a 22-12 halftime advantage and pushed their lead to as much as 22 points, following a bucket by Hunter at the 1:47 mark in the fourth quarter. The victory keeps Langston's record unblemished at 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Langston is off to its best start since the 2014-15 season when the Lady Lions began the season 16-0.

Collectively, Hunter finished 10-of-22 from the field with five three-pointers. Alexandria Jefferson tallied nine points on the day, and De'Asia Thomas pulled down a team-high six rebounds.

Langston (7-0, 3-0 SAC) faces Haskell Indian Nations on Saturday, Nov. 29 in a non-conference matchup. Game time is set for 2 p.m. at C.F. Gayles Field House.
