Lady Lions Roar Past College of the Ozarks

LANGSTON – The Langston Lady Lions moved back into the win column following a 3-1 victory over the College of the Ozarks on Friday night inside C.F. Gayles Field House.

The Lady Lions set the tone early by taking the 25-19 set one victory, hitting a .212 percentage in the opening set while holding the Bobcats to a .125 hitting percentage. The Bobcats countered with a 25-13 set two victory to knot things up at 1-1.

The third set showcased the Lady Lions needed a late rally to seal the 26-24 set three win. The Bobcats built a 24-21 advantage when Langston scored five straight points to break through in the 26-24 set three victory. In the final frame the Lady Lions jumped out to a 16-9 advantage and didn't look back, sealing the game with a 25-16 victory in set four.

Teia Woodson finished with a team-high 15 kills, Meagan Anderson tallied 34 assists and Leah McCall racked up 20 digs on the night.

Langston (6-7, 2-2 SAC) is back in action at home versus John Brown University tomorrow. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
