No. 8 Langston Rolls JBU 73-40

LANGSTON – Three players hit double figures as the No. 8 Langston University Lions rolled John Brown University 73-40 on Saturday evening inside historic C.F. Gayles Field House.

Langston built a 32-24 halftime lead and continued the momentum in the second half, outscoring the Golden Eagles 41-16 en route to the 70-43 victory. The victory pushes Langston to 21-5 overall and 16-4 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The Lions are currently second in the SAC standings at 16-4, trailing Nelson University by one game with two games remaining in the regular season which features matchups with Texas Wesleyan and Nelson University.

Omar Henry finished with a team-high 16 points, Orlando Thomas added 14 and Antonio Lewis chipped in 10 on the night.

Langston (21-5, 16-4 SAC) returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 19 versus Texas Wesleyan. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
