Langston Falls 31-24 to Louisiana College

Box Score PINEVILLE, La. – The Langston University Lions fell short in their matchup at Louisiana College by a final count of 31-24 on Saturday afternoon.

Trailing 24-17, the Langston Lions countered with a 10-play, 70-yard drive that ended with Ger'Kerry Jackson scoring on a two-yard run to tie it with 9:52 remaining in the fourth quarter.

On the ensuing drive, the Wildcats answered with a 17-play drive that ended with Louisiana College's Sal Palermo III hitting Glenn White for a touchdown. The scoring drive pushed the Wildcats in front 31-24 and left the Lions only 54 seconds remaining.

The Lions would turn the ball over on downs on their next offensive possession, ceding the 31-24 victory to the Wildcats. Langston moves to 7-1 overall and 6-1 in the SAC.

Larry Harrington finished nine-of-21 for 117 yards with one touchdown. Jackson tallied 87 yards on 23 carries and hauled in a team-high three receptions for 40 yards.

Devin Dourisseau led Langston with 12 total tackles, seven solo and 3.5 tackles for loss.

Langston (7-1, 6-1 SAC) hosts Arizona Christian on Saturday, Nov. 6 at W.E. Anderson Stadium. Kickoff time set for 2 p.m.
