Volleyball Falls to Southwestern Assemblies of God

LANGSTON – The Langston Volleyball team fell short 3-1 (23-25, 24-26, 25-23, 20-25) to Southwestern Assemblies of God on Saturday afternoon at the C.F. Gayles Gymnasium.

SAGU opened the game with a 25-23 set victory and held off the Lady Lions to claim set two 26-24. Langston rallied in the third set 25-23 but fell 25-20 in the final frame to cede the match.

Antonese Tatum and Kiyah Hedge notched double digits in kills with 17 and 14. Finehika Uhatafe racked up 22 assists and Samantha Clements finished with 19 digs.

The Lady Lions (4-7, 0-4 SAC) travels to face Southwestern Christian on Tuesday, Sept. 14. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
