Box Score 2 STERLING, Kan. – The Langston University Lady Lions managed to split on Tuesday, Sept. 7 versus Sterling College and Champion Christian in non-conference action.
In the opener, Langston battled back and forth but ultimately fell 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-18) to the Warriors in three sets. Leading the way for the Lady Lions was Antonese Tatum with 16 kills, Finehika Uhatafe tallied 23 assists and Samantha Clements finished with 13 digs.
Langston turned around to sweep the Champion Christian Tigers 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-12) and move to 4-5 overall on the season.
Tatum finished with 17 kills, Uhatafe racked up 23 and Clements tallied 13 digs. Allanah Drayton-Camp also tallied double figures with 13 assists.
The Lady Lions (4-5) host Texas Wesleyan on Friday, Sept. 10. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
