LANGSTON – The Langston University Lady Lions pushed their win streak to three games after defeating Southwestern Assemblies of God 92-78 on Saturday evening at the C.F. Gayles Field House.
Leading by one point entering the fourth, the Lady Lions ramped up the pace and outscored SAGU 30-19 in the final frame to improve to 13-3 overall and 8-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Collectively, the Lady Lions hit 43 percent (27-of-62) on the night and finished 33-for-36 at the free throw line.
Asheika Alexander and
Taliyah Harris both tallied 23 points to lead Langston in scoring.
Alanna Spencer added 15 and
Jadyn Chestnutt chipped in 14 to round out the double-digit leaders.
Langston (13-3, 8-2 SAC) hosts Southwestern Christian on Thursday, Jan. 13. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
