Alexander, Lady Lions Roar Past Trailblazers

DALLAS, Texas – Asheika Alexander tallied 27 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Langston Lady Lions past the University of North Texas at Dallas Trailblazers 66-53 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Lions trailed UNT-Dallas 30-24 entering halftime before soaring back in front in the second half. Langston managed to outscore the Trailblazers 21-13 and 21-10 in the third and fourth quarters respectively to seal the 66-53 victory.

Adia Rogers finished in double figures with 10 points in 35 minutes of action.

Collectively, the Lady Lions hit 39 percent (26-of-66) overall and finished 14-of-22 at the free throw line.

Langston (17-9, 12-8 SAC) travels to face Southwestern Christian on Thursday, Feb. 17 in Bethany, Okla.
