Lady Lions Outlast Southwestern Christian 73-70

BETHANY – Four Lady Lions managed to score in double digits as Langston knocked off Southwestern Christian 73-70 on Thursday evening in Sooner Athletic Conference action.

The Lady Lions trailed 57-56 early in the fourth but turned the tide with an 11-0 scoring run to propel them in front 67-57 with 4:40 remaining. Langston held serve the rest of the way and improved to 18-9 overall and 13-8 in the SAC with the 73-70 conference victory.

Asheika Alexander led Langston with 16 points and Talia Edwards poured in 14. Jada Spence and Adia Rogers also added 10 point each respectively.

Langston (18-9, 13-8 SAC) closes out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 19 versus Mid-America Christian. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
