Women's Basketball Outlasts Oklahoma City 81-79

EDMOND, Okla. – Four players scored in double figures as the Langston University Lady Lions outlasted the Oklahoma City University Stars 81-79 on Thursday night.

Knotted up at 77-77, Kameron Shelley gave the Lady Lions the lead by hitting one-of-two free throws to make it 78-77 at the 1:43 mark in the fourth quarter. Shelley missed the second free throw attempt, but Anyia Pride managed the offensive board and tip-in to widen Langston's margin at 80-77.

Langston led late 81-79 and survived a game-tying attempt by Ray Osborn as time expired to preserve the victory.

Shelley finished with a team-high 18 points, Hailey Jordan added 16 and Koreea Kirksey chipped in 11. Pride finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds on the night.

Langston (12-9, 7-8 SAC) hosts John Brown University on Saturday, Jan. 28. Game time is set for 2 p.m. at C.F. Gayles Field House.
