LANGSTON - The Langston Lady Lions came up short 3-0 (15-25, 16-25, 15-25) to John Brown University on Friday, Oct. 27 at C.F. Gayles Field House.

In the opening set the Lady Lions were tied early 3-3 when the Golden Eagles picked up six straight set points to widen their margin to 9-3. Langston cut the margin to seven at 13-9 but ultimately dropped the opening set 25-15.

JBU picked up victories in sets two and three by counts of 25-16 and 25-15 to seal the victory.

Braelyn Spence and Lauren Collier both tied for the lead in kills with nine. Ashaqwaye McThomas registered 26 assists and Leah McCall tallied 16 digs.

Langston (1-23, 0-17 SAC) travels to face Oklahoma City University on Saturday in Oklahoma City, Okla. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
