Lady Lions Knock Off Kansas Wesleyan 78-65

SALINA, Kan. – Five players scored in double figures as the Langston Lady Lions knocked off Kansas Wesleyan 78-65 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Lions led 21-18 at the conclusion of the first quarter and managed to outscore the Coyotes 18-14 and 23-19 in the second and third quarters to lead 63-51 entering the fourth quarter. Langston outscored Kansas Wesleyan 16-14 in the final frame to seal the 78-65 win and moved to 3-0 on the season.

Kamesha Moore led Langston in scoring with 18 points overall. Brittany Rivera added 13, Kameron Shelley finished with 11 along with Hailey Jordan and Shae Routt chipping in 10 points apiece.

Langston (3-0) returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 9 versus Ave Maria University at home. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
