Lady Lions Outlast Williams Baptist 76-74

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A seesaw battle came down to the wire as Langston's Mikayla Woods scored a bucket with seconds remaining to lift the Lady Lions past Williams Baptist 76-74 on Monday night.
 
Woods led Langston in scoring with 15 points and 13 boards. Koreea Kirksey and Jordan Brown also chipped in double figures with 13 points apiece and Diamond Richardson rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11 points.
 
Collectively, the Lady Lions shot 42 percent (28-of-66) overall and finished 16-of-20 from the free throw line.

Langston (2-0) travels to face Texas A&M-Texarkana on Thursday, Oct. 31 in Texarkana, Texas. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
