Football Places 13 on SAC All-Conference Teams

OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2024 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) football awards have been announced, with 13 Langston University football players earning top honors for their standout performances during the season.

Leading the Lions' accolades, Levon Williams (Tight End) Damian Lowery (Defensive Tackle) and Travis Martin (Defensive Back)  were named to the All-SAC First Team for their exceptional contributions on offense and defense.

Williams finished with 369 receiving yards on 18 receptions with four touchdowns. Lowery finished with a team-high 61 total tackles, 27 solo tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss. Martin tallied 27 total tackles with 21 solo, three tackles for loss, four pass breakups and two interceptions.

Second Team All-SAC honors were awarded to Torrence Bardell (Quarterback), Kevin Allen (Wide Receiver), Bryson Bentley (Offensive Tackle), MyDre' Strother (Outside Linebacker), Tre Odom (Safety) and Mikele Nash (Kick Returner).
 
Bardell finished with 2,735 passing yards with 26 touchdowns; the signal caller also picked up 407 rushing yards with three touchdowns.
 
Allen finished the year with 59 receptions for 968 yards and six touchdowns.
 
Strother racked up 33 total tackles, 27 solo with 6.5 tackles for loss. Odom tallied 36 total tackles and led the team in interceptions with four for 126 yards.
 
Nash finished with 395 yards on 16 returns with one touchdown.

Honorable Mention All-SAC recognition went to Marquette Seaton (Offensive Tackle), Armonnie Wise (Defensive Tackle), James Grace (Defensive End), Khylan Moseley (Linebacker), and Isaiah Smith (Cornerback).
