Lady Lions Roll OPSU 69-49

LANGSTON – Hailey Jordan pumped in a team-high 20 points, leading the Langston Lady Lions past Oklahoma Panhandle State 69-49 on Saturday at C.F. Gayles Field House. 

Langston trailed 26-25 at halftime but rallied, outscoring OPSU 20-11 and 24-12 in the third and fourth quarters respectively to clinch the 69-49 victory.  The Lady Lions improve to 21-5 overall and 16-4 in the SAC standings. 

The Lady Lions are currently in second place in the SAC standings with two regular season games remaining. The SAC Women's Basketball championship tournament is slated to begin on Thursday, Feb. 29. 

Kameron Shelley and Makayla Transou also tallied double figures with 12 points apiece.

Langston (21-5, 16-4 SAC) returns to action next Thursday at Texas Wesleyan. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
