Chasity Veals Named SAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

OKLAHOMA CITY - Chasity Veals from Langston University earned this week's SAC Oklahoma Ford Dealers Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for her performance ending Feb. 5, 2024, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
 
Veals set a new school record in the triple jump, hitting a 12.37-meter mark which placed her second overall and qualified her NAIA 'A' standard for the NAIA Track and Field Indoor Championships. Veals previously qualified for the indoor championships with a mark of 11.73 meters on December 2. The senior is now ranked second overall in the women's triple jump.
